經(jīng)過緊張的筆試之后，那家聞名于世的美國通訊公司終于寄來了面試通知書，要求我參加一周后的面試，而且特別注明“面試英語口語”。這一加試可真是突然襲擊，要說英語，我簡直就是啞巴一個(gè)！
一個(gè)星期就要開口用英語對話，這簡直是天方夜譚。是放棄呢，還是進(jìn)行最后一搏？我思忖著，仔細(xì)分析自己所面臨的處境：第一，我應(yīng)聘的職位是辦公室文員，說英語機(jī)會應(yīng)該不多，沒理由考難度大的專業(yè)類英語口語，考日常用語的可能性極大；第二，筆試時(shí)，我留意觀察了競爭對手們，我的條件絕對不差；第三，參加面試，我也沒什么損失。
考慮好對策后，我便依照計(jì)劃按部就班地準(zhǔn)備。第一步，我用中文寫下問題及相應(yīng)答案，并假設(shè)自己是考官，想問考生哪些問題，諸如：“請介紹一下你的個(gè)人經(jīng)歷”、“說說你的家庭狀況”、“你的業(yè)余愛好是什么”、“你為什么要到我們公司應(yīng)聘”、“你對美國了解多少”等等大大小小凡能想到的問題，然后寫下自己的回答。第二步，用英文翻譯上面的問與答。這一步驟要求越規(guī)范越好。翻譯時(shí)沒把握好時(shí)，我便立刻翻看詞典、語法等工具書。第三步，背誦及模擬考試。通過在網(wǎng)上尋找，我找到一家叫酷酷口語的網(wǎng)站，在上面預(yù)約了Nicole老師，通過每天1節(jié)課的實(shí)戰(zhàn)演習(xí)，讓老師糾正自己寫的面試答案，讓老師傳授一些面試經(jīng)驗(yàn)，以便更好地適應(yīng)面試。最后，我又全面地翻看一下美國國情介紹，以及各大公司的企業(yè)文化，做到知己知彼。
面試那天下午，我略施粉黛、身著職業(yè)裝進(jìn)入考場，面對中美共六位考官，我首先用中英兩文說“下午好”。其后，所考的英文口語涉及到個(gè)人經(jīng)歷、興趣愛好、美本國情等諸多問題，我從容應(yīng)對總算過關(guān)。
