　　請假條相當于公文中的“請示”，它是因事、因病或者因公請求領導或相關負責人，準許不參加某項工作、學習、活動的文書。它比請示簡便、靈活，格式可以固定，也可以不固定。請假條因為請假的'原因，分為請病假和請事假兩種。它是公文寫作的一個很重要、但經常被人們忽略的一個應用文寫作，無論是學習，還是工作，我們都離不開請假條，請假條的意義可大可小，很多人往往不夠重視，所以造成了很多笑話。請假條的內容包括“標題、上款、正文、請假時間、下款”。
